A cascade of color, Penumbra shines brightly. A dubstep-techno hybrid, "Per Ardua" starts simple and builds continually to the end, a common theme through the EP. Low and slow, "Surgo" stomps and rumbles before giving way to a beautiful major key ending. Electro at its core, "Ad Astra" is emotionally provocative and musically consonant; a fitting end to the musical journey.
